Familial Estrangment

My Approach

Family estrangement can touch some of our deepest attachment wounds. Whether you are the one who stepped back to preserve your well-being or the one coming to terms with an unexpected separation, this experience often carries layers of grief, shame, confusion, and longing.

I’ve worked with individuals on both sides of estrangement and understand how each is navigating deeply adaptive responses to complex relational and developmental histories. Our nervous systems are always doing their best to balance the longing for connection with the need for protection — two fundamental human impulses that can sometimes come into painful conflict.

In our work together, we bring gentle curiosity to how these patterns live in your body and shape your relationships. Rather than focusing on who’s right or wrong, we explore what supports greater authenticity, clarity, and self-compassion. From this awareness, new possibilities often emerge — not necessarily for reconciliation, but for an inner sense of peace and integration, wherever you are in your journey.

You don’t have to face this alone. Together, we create the conditions for healing and growth.
